thanks guys!

right now this is just (part of) a proposal. i have no idea if DC will go for it or not -- someone else tried a WW manga pitch a few years back, and while it was obviously very different from mine, i don't know how comfortable DC is with any superhero comic that is not in a more conventional style/format. i mean, unless it's paul pope or frank miller or someone, you know, famous.

but we shall see!

if/when i have a few minutes, i want to revisit this page and discuss how i structured everything. it's not always, but i usually do put a lot of thought into where everything goes and how it fits together -- in a way, "designing" a page is similar to designing a character, and in both cases the ultimate goal is to trick the audience in to thinking and feeling exactly how you want them to. ideally, without them realizing it.

I love this to bits (and your WW in Wednesday Comics)! I hope DC picks this up. I always am up for more Ben Caldwell comics.
But, dangit, I'm not seeing the manga in it. I'm interested in knowing what manga aspects you're drawing on.

BTW, the other WW manga was by TinTin Pantoja. I stumped for that at DC, I thought it was a brilliant bridge that would attract manga reading girls and introduce them to DC supers.
(I pitched a Batgirl manga around that same time, but that didn't get far, I'm afraid!)
