more from the cartooning class

hi all! more from my class. i suppose i should mention, by the way, that i'll be teaching another round of the class starting in january, and anyone who lives in the berks/lancaster area who is interested can sign up through the yocum art institute.

anyway, talking about placing figures in space/drawing figures in perspective, which segued into POV and shot composition:

of course, these are not exhaustive -- they're just supplements for the actual class -- but i'm thinking of putting together an "advanced! cartooning" book or something, after manga is done.

Cool pictures! I think an Advanced! Cartooning book would be pretty cool! Do you think you will ever do classes like these in NY? I would love to be able to attend one! :)

Please finish the Manga cartooning and then YES also do an Advance! cartooning! I constantly find my self returning to your Action and Fantasy books. Thanks for all the insight over the years, not to mention re-readability. :)

Nice, stuff, but hard to read the text on the sheets on the laptop as they are fairly small in Lightbox mode.
If you’d like to disable Bloggers new "Lightbox mode" on your blog, log in to Blogger and select "No" next to Lightbox in the Settings | Posts and Comments section (new interface) or the Settings | Formatting section (old interface).
That way you get back to the old settings.:)

hi guys!

kirun - there is also toby shelton's blog, and of course i can't not mention rad sechrist's blog, which i have linked to. (in addition to being awesome it his own right, rad has links to millions of other great blogs.)

larry - it is. i juggle and everything!

...and by "everything", i mean "draw".

thanks john!

trollwind - sign upped!

rad - you would be the only one! but it would still be pretty cool. love the cry-disney boards, by the way.

alec - nah, too far. i was going to teach a class at brooklyn's bergen street comics, but we never worked it out and then i moved...

i might do a workshop there at some point, but that would involve more free time than i have right now.

joakim - i always assume people are either downloading this stuff, or completely uninterested.

That'd be cool. Did you get a chance to look at my e-mail yet?

These are awesome, Ben!

You have a way of explaining in a very simple way, complex storytelling techniques.
